Services

he Storybook Center, Inc. provides a wide variety of services for several different family needs.  We invite you to learn more about us by calling us for information or to set up an appointment to visit the center. We look forward to starting you and your family on your way to "happy endings"!

We provide an enriching environment for children who have a natural curiosity and like to be challenged.  Children who are interested in books and children whose parents want to encourage their child's early love for language and literature will love our program and the curriculum.  Our curriculum challenges each child to expand her/his language and social communication skills.

Our activities, which are at a standard that is often considered to be at a pre-K (4 years old) level of challenge or above, are enthusiastically embraced by our families and are met with very successful results.  How is that possible?  Because we believe it is possible.  Children are capable of so much.  They like challenges and will rise to them. At The Storybook Center we give children credit for being naturally curious. We invite them to try new things in an environment in which they feel comfortable and safe.   Sign up now!

We provide many services designed to address a wide range of language, listening, cognitive, social, communication, sensory, and literacy challenges including: receptive language delays (what you hear); expressive language delays (what you say);  auditory processing challenges (you are physically able to hear but have a difficult time taking in information and processing or making sense of what it is that you are hearing); various fluency challenges including language difficulties and the development of early literacy skills.

We provide services to meet a variety of different children's needs.  We work closely with children who are 'late-bloomers'; those who are shy with peers or adults or both; children who love to talk but have a difficult time listening to others; children with social challenges including but not limited to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder also known as ASD.

We provide services for children with a hearing loss, children who are newly aided, have or will have cochlear implants, and/or who are using or want to learn to sign.

We provide services for children with Sensory Integration Dysfunction, or who may have some sensory difficulties, such as having an extremely difficult time trying to get messy or struggling with eating different textures, and so on.

The Storybook Center celebrates diversity.  Each child has different strengths and challenges, and no child is 'disabled'... merely differently 'abled' - just as each of us is.  Sign up now!
