Taylor, M.A. Ed. is the Director of The Storybook Center.

Ms. Taylor has her Masters in Special Education. She
holds credentials in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special
Education, Education of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing children ages birth to 22
years of age. The credentialing of a teacher of the deaf and hard-hearing
follows much of the same educational programs that audiologists and speech
and language therapists receive. In addition, Ms. Taylor has years of
experience as a Literacy Specialist.
She has been teaching for several years and has taught all
age groups throughout her experiences. Recently she taught at San Francisco
State University in the Early Childhood Special Education program as a
mentoring teacher, providing guidance to new teachers.
Ms. Taylor has experience creating and delivering
classes for infants, toddlers and preschoolers to deepen early language and
literacy skills. She has operated her own baby and toddler groups, as well
as developed and taught several parent education classes. She has presented
at professional conferences. She has taught in several states as a
Literacy Specialist Instructor for babies through the ages of their
great-grandparents. She has been an Early Intervention Educator in
California and in Washington.
Ms. Taylor’s goal for The Storybook Center
is to celebrate the successful development of young children’s communication with their peers and
their parents through the enjoyment of children’s literature.
She is a member of such organizations as NAEYC (National
Association of the Education of Young Children), ASHA (American Speech and
Hearing Association) DEC (Division of Early Childhood), Alexander Graham Bell
Association (A.G. Bell), Redmond Chamber of Commerce, the Women's Business
Exchange, to name a few.
